Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks a Diffusion Operations Shift Supervisor to lead 10-15 diffusion technicians, drive safety, quality and cost performance, and develop your team while maintaining state-of-the-art production equipment.

You will coordinate workload, review procedures, improve documentation, ensure OCAPs, SOPs, and maintain equipment availability on the Austin fab floor. The role offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
• 5+ years of semiconductor experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Diffusion, TEL/KE Furnace, AMAT EPI and/or CVD process and equipment.
• Experience supporting equipment maintenance.
• Experience supporting process development and sustaining.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and develop a team of 10-15 Diffusion technicians
• Coordinate and lead team meetings and coordinate team members’ daily workload and sustaining activities in the fab when necessary
• Ensure timely response to out-of-control or out-of-specification conditions to minimize impact to production and quality
• Monitor equipment status and technician response throughout assigned shift to ensure availability goals are met
• Lead the development, review and improvement of operational and technical documentation to identify and drive operational efficiency improvements
• Ensure SOPs, PTPs, and Out of Control Action Plans (OCAPs) are utilized to work safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively
• Supervise electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting activities to ensure best course of corrective action is determined and executed

Position Summary

Diffusion Operations shift supervisors lead a team of technicians focused on maintaining operational condition of state-of-the-art semiconductor production equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for team development and shift performance – balancing the development of your team’s technical and professional skills while driving achievement of key quality, production and cost performance metrics.

Skills And Qualifications

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Education: High school diploma / GED is required; Technical degree or equivalent military technical experience strongly preferred, but not required
• 5+ years of semi-conductor experience in high volume manufacturing environment highly desired
• Knowledge of Diffusion, TEL/KE Furnace, AMAT EPI and/or CVD process and equipment preferred
• Experience supporting equipment maintenance
• Experience supporting process development and sustaining

The current base salary range for this role is between $85,000.00 - $135,000.00. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
