Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Equipment Technician to join our fast-paced fab team in Austin, TX. You will perform preventative maintenance, follow SOPs and OCAPs, and work with engineers to resolve issues on state-of-the-art equipment on the cleanroom floor.

The role requires a high school diploma, analytical and mechanical aptitude, and strong communication. Shift: A, Sunday–Tuesday 6:45am–7:15pm with alternating Wednesdays; competitive compensation and full benefits are offered.

In your role as an Equipment Technician, you'll work alongside a talented group of technicians and engineers in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment producing some of the most advanced semiconductor devices on the planet.

Role and Responsibilities

Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:

• Practice 6S in the office and fab, holding safety as the number 1 priority.
• Follow SOPs, PTPs, and Out of Control Action Plans (OCAPs) to work efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) including mechanical assembly/disassembly on fab equipment.
• Use structured problem solving to help find impactful solutions to complex problems.
• Affectively communicate with engineers, leaders, and teammates.
• Work in a team environment on the cleanroom floor in a full cleanroom smock.
• Work hours: A Shift - Sunday through Tuesday (6:45am - 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays.

The current base salary range for this role is between $26.00 - $33.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
