University Medical Center of El Paso seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department Hold area. The position supports patient care delivery through the nursing process, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve desired outcomes.

Requires 1 year of RN experience, Texas RN license, and certifications (CPR; ACLS/PALS/TNCC/ENPC as specified). Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.

Qualificações

• 1 year of RN experience required, preferably in hospital acute care.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas.
• CPR certification (current).
• ACLS within 6 months of start date.
• PALS within 6 months for Endoscopy, Emergency, Cath Lab/IR, OR, Recovery, and Ambulatory Surgical Unit.
• TNCC or ATCN within 1 year for Emergency, ICU, IMCU, Neuro ICU and Recovery.
• ENPC within 1 year for Emergency department.

Job Summary

Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization’s vision and mission. Utilizes knowledge of patient’s age and cultural diversity in the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

Work Experience

One year of experience as a Registered Nurse required, preferably in a hospital based acute care setting.

License/Registration/Certification

• 1. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State Texas required.
• 2. Current CPR training program.
• 3. ACLS obtained within 6 months of being in the position.
• 4. PALS obtained within 6 months of being in the position for the following areas: Endoscopy, Emergency, Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology, Operating Room, Recovery and Ambulatory Surgical Unit.
• 5. TNCC or ATCN obtained within 1 year of being in the position for the following areas: Emergency, ICU, IMCU, Neuro ICU adn Recovery.
• 6. ENPC obtained within 1 year of being in the position for Emergency department.

Education and Training

Bachelor degree in Nursing required.
