Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf in Peoria, AZ, is seeking a Cook 2 to join the Food & Beverage team. You will be responsible for cooking, food prep, and serving, reporting to the Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Must hold a Food Handlers card and read safety/operating instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Master one kitchen station and take responsibility for actions.
• Ensure high standards of service for guests and staff.
• Respond to guest or employee issues promptly and effectively.
• Follow daily cleaning schedule to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Read recipes and prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces and casseroles.
• Cook, bake, roast, broil, and steam as required, adjusting ovens and equipment.
• Carve, portion, and plate foods with garnishes.
• Support other duties as assigned.
