Job summary

Casto Technical Services in Cumberland, MD is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on rooftop units, boilers, chillers, and VRF systems for commercial properties. You will rely on strong troubleshooting abilities and EPA refrigerant handling knowledge while ensuring safety policy compliance and excellent customer service.

A company van is dispatched from home, with on-call rotations.

Qualifications

Minimum of five (5) years of commercial HVAC service experience.
Experience servicing rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, package units, VRF systems.
Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of EPA refrigerant handling regulations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance per manufacturer recommendations and company standards.
Inspect equipment to identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
Accurately document service calls, repairs, parts used, and recommendations.
Maintain compliance with EPA regulations and all applicable codes.
Follow all safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and management.
Maintain company-issued tools, equipment, vehicle, and inventory.
Participate in scheduled on-call rotations and overtime as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
