Job summary

Casto Technical Services seeks an Experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on a range of commercial HVAC systems in Northeastern West Virginia and surrounding areas. Dispatch from home with a company van.

The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, EPA compliance, and professional customer service while adhering to safety policies. Valid driver’s license and EPA 608 Universal Certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Experience servicing rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, package units, VRF systems.
• Thorough understanding of commercial HVAC systems, controls, electrical and refrigeration circuits.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of EPA refrigerant handling regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations and company standards
• Inspect equipment to identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions
• Document service calls, repairs, parts used, and recommendations
• Maintain EPA regulations compliance and all local, state, and federal codes
• Follow safety policies and maintain a safe work environment
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and management
• Maintain tools, equipment, vehicle, and inventory
• Participate in scheduled on‑call rotations and overtime as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
