Job summary

Vortex Doors is seeking an Experienced Commercial Door Technician to join our field team in Colorado. You will install, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial doors, docks, and related hardware at customer sites, ensuring safety and efficient operation.

You will diagnose issues, install hardware, and provide cost-effective solutions while delivering excellent customer service. A 4+ year track record in the door industry and valid driver’s license are required; AAADM certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in the commercial door service industry.
• AAADM certification is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of door types, brands, and hardware.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Proficient reading tape measures and fractions.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial doors, docks, and related hardware with appropriate tools.
• Diagnose door issues like broken springs, hinges, locks, and electrical components; welding training can be provided.
• Install and configure door hardware including locks, handles, closers, low-voltage, and access control systems.
• Ensure all installations meet safety and building code standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and explain repair processes to customers.
• Maintain accurate service visit records and provide reports as required.
• Diagnose and resolve technical door issues and offer cost-effective solutions.
• Perform quality checks to meet company quality standards.
