SEI Technologies has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced CNC Programmer to join our team in Hickory, NC.
Responsibilities
- Utilize CAM programming to generate toolpaths for various CNC machines.
- Write and optimize CNC programs for machining operations.
- Collaborate with engineers and setup machinists to ensure accurate part production.
- Troubleshoot and debug CNC programs as needed.
- Adhere to quality standards and specifications in CNC machining processes.
- Continuously improve programming techniques to enhance efficiency and productivity.
The candidate should:
- Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in metal machining, fixture design, and setup (or relevant advanced technical training if less than 10 years).
- Be proficient in programming for 4 and 5 axis CNC Turning and Milling.
- Have 8+ years of CAM programming experience (Fusion 360 preferred) and the ability to program and produce parts directly from drawings and models.
- Experience machining tight tolerance, high-value components.
- Extensive experience with Okuma, Fanuc, and other CNC controls.
- Ability to interpret technical data and engineering drawings.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, across multiple disciplines.
- Willingness to perform other tasks as directed by management, including assisting in non-production and administrative tasks.
Preferred:
- Experience with nickel-based stainless-steel alloys, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, Hast-X, and Inconel.
- Experience in Aerospace and Defense industries.
- Ability to operate heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight-critical hardware.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
