SMC in Noblesville, IN is seeking a CNC Operator to precisely machine SMC components according to work instructions. You will set up, adjust, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and punch presses, reading blueprints and selecting tooling.

The role requires attention to detail, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to collaborate in a production team. Candidates may train on the specific brand and ERP systems; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience required, without CNC certification.
Available to work overtime on weekdays/weekends as needed.
Basic computer and math skills.
Detail‑oriented.
Team player.
Communication: Must be able to read/write/speak and understand English.

Responsabilités

Set Up: perform machine change overs to manufacture different components based on daily assignments. This work is typically performed on a CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, or CNC Punch Press.
Prepare: use blueprints to set the machine to the job’s specifications, insert the tooling needed, and gather the necessary materials for the job assignment.
Operate: supervise the machine while it executes the tasks, make any necessary adjustments to the operation, or troubleshoot issues to produce a better‑finished product to specification; use measurement tools to check results.
Work in a team environment for increased productivity and quality.
Understand and follow all company policies and safety procedures.
In this role, you will complete all other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
