Job summary

Solve Industrial Motion Group is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our production team in Indiana. You will program, set up, and operate FANUC-controlled CNC machines to produce precision components from engineering drawings, adhering to tolerances and schedules.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, selecting tooling, securing workpieces, adjusting feed rates, and inspecting finished parts with micrometers and gauges.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CNC programming, setup, and operation using FANUC controls and G and M codes.
• Ability to read blueprints, machining instructions, and machine operating requirements.
• Strong mathematical skills to calculate finished dimensions.
• Ability to communicate effectively across organizational levels, work collaboratively, and meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple machines as required, monitor equipment performance, measure and record required dimensions and production data.
• Interpret blueprints, machining instructions, and engineered drawings to determine machining methods and ensure components meet specified requirements.
• Identify, obtain, or recommend cutting tools and fixtures needed to achieve specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Secure workpieces in fixtures, presses, or machine mounts and position gaging equipment to support consistent, repeatable production.
• Set and adjust feed rates, rotational speeds, and machine settings for CNC Swiss Mill operations, using appropriate hand tools as needed.
• Inspect and validate machined components against specifications using micrometers, gauges, inspection fixtures, and an involute checker when available; record required dimensional data.
• Calculate machining dimensions using shop mathematics to maintain part accuracy and repeatability.
• Machine plastic and other nonmetallic materials when required, following applicable departmental procedures and production specifications.
