Job summary

SMC Ltd. is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up, program, and optimize tooling for precision mold components. The role demands hands-on machining experience, strong CAD/CAM capabilities (SolidWorks, Mastercam), and the ability to troubleshoot processes in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will collaborate with Toolmakers and Engineers to meet delivery schedules, interpret drawings, and maintain tight tolerances while ensuring quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of hands-on tooling experience.
• Proficient CAD/CAM skills including SolidWorks and Mastercam.
• Experience creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers to manufacture precision mold components and tooling.
• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs to improve efficiency and quality.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications; perform in-process inspections.
• Collaborate with Toolmakers, Tooling Engineers, and CAM Programmers to improve machining processes.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues to minimize downtime and scrap.
