Job summary

Randstad USA in Santa Clara is seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-precision CNC machinery and automated shop equipment. You will ensure critical manufacturing assets run at peak performance and support multi-axis mills, lathes, and Swiss-type machines.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on CNC maintenance, and working knowledge of Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Siemens controls.

Qualifications

3+ years of CNC maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
Experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Siemens CNC controls and drive systems
Proficiency with multimeters, electrical schematics, hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams, and precision measuring tools

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults on CNC machines and auxiliaries.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot CNC controllers, servo drives, and PLCs.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on all shop machinery including fluid changes, lubrication, spindle health checks, and axis alignment.
Repair or replace ball screws, spindles, linear guides, tool changers, way covers, hydraulic valves, and pumps.
Conduct machine geometry alignments, backlash adjustments, and precision leveling using indicators, lasers, and precision levels.
Source replacement parts, manage maintenance inventory, and coordinate with OEM technicians for specialized work.
