Job summary

civil-recruit seeks a CNC Machine Maintenance Mechanic for on-site work in the United States. The role involves analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC electro-mechanical control systems and related machine sub-systems to support predictive maintenance and zero-defect goals.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of equipment (5-axis mills, EDMs, lathes, etc.), root-cause analysis, and collaboration with engineering.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems on CNC machine shop equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Read and interpret schematics, drawings, performance specifications, and operating requirements of industrial machining equipment electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic/ladder logic.
• Ability to program and operate CNC equipment to verify maintenance and repairs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to use power tools and operate a forklift.
• Ability to write detailed repair reports (MS Office).
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment while adhering to company quality policies.
• Detail oriented and analytical; root-cause problem solving.
• Self-motivated and able to work with others.
• 2+ years of Ballbar testing/analysis preferred.
• 3-5 years with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Heidenhain, Mazatrol CNC controllers.
• 3-5 years maintaining and repairing PLC and servo drive hardware/software.
• Experience with Mazak, KERN, Tsugami, EuroTech, Rofin, Fanuc EDM, Maier, Citizen.
• Associate degree in advanced manufacturing or related technical certification preferred.
• Heavily weighted in PM actions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery.
• Maintain and repair diverse machining equipment (5-axis mills, CNC lathes, EDMs, etc.).
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems; document work and determine root cause.
• Plan repairs, determine methods, and coordinate with engineering to resolve problems.
• Identify improvements to maintenance procedures, asset BOMs, and machine design changes.
