Job summary

ClearBridge Executive Search seeks an experienced CNC Machinist for an aerospace manufacturing operation in Northwest NJ. The role requires setting up 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC equipment, reading complex drawings and GD&T, and developing optimized CNC programs.

Expect to work on titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, and aluminum with tight tolerances. The candidate must independently set up CNC machines with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to AS9100 quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience independently setting up CNC machines without supervision.
• Experience with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling and turning.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T specifications.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, comparators, thread gauges).
• Knowledge of GMP and lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a high-accountability environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T requirements.
• Develop, write, modify, and optimize CNC programs.
• Set up machines, perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments.
• Select cutting tools and tooling strategies; optimize machining processes.
• Inspect components with precision gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain AS9100 quality standards and documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and Lean manufacturing efforts.
