Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of CNC turning, CNC lathe setup, tooling production or closely related precision machining experience.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience in a controlled quality environment with traceability and process discipline.
• High school diploma or GED; vocational/technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level CNC lathe setup, programming, and technical support for production jobs.
• Review drawings, CAD data, and job requirements; establish efficient machining approach, tooling plan, workholding method and setup sequence.
• Set up machines accurately and efficiently and support production to required specifications, quality expectations and scheduled hours.
• Support development and improvement of CNC lathe manufacturing processes to reduce setup time, cycle time, scrap and rework.
• Work closely with Engineering and Quality to resolve manufacturability, inspection and process issues.
