Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Process Engineer specializing in chemical manufacturing to join their team in Welkom. You will optimize production processes, design and implement new technologies, and ensure safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of process engineering experience in chemical manufacturing.
Experience with process simulation software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analysis.
Strong knowledge of reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and mass transfer.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
Familiarity with industrial safety standards and environmental regulations in Welkom.

Responsibilities

Analyze and optimize existing chemical manufacturing processes to improve yield, efficiency, and safety.
Design and implement new process technologies and modifications, including P&IDs and equipment specifications.
Troubleshoot complex process issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Collaborate with R&D, production, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless process integration and operation.
Conduct process simulations and pilot studies to validate new or improved processes.
