Job summary

Visiting Angels Waco is seeking an Experienced Caregiver to provide companionship, personal care and safety supervision for clients in their homes across Waco and surrounding areas. Flexible weekday and weekend shifts with 1–12 hour options and a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week.

You will drive to client locations, maintain reliable transportation, and uphold the highest standards of dignity and respect while delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Over 1 year of hands-on caregiving with the elderly.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Must be over 18 years old.
• Successful Criminal History check.
• Professional references.
• Reliable transportation to drive to clients and between locations.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

Experienced Caregiver

Visiting Angels Waco is a leading non-medical, private duty home care agency providing companionship, safety supervision and personal care to help adults continue to live safely with dignity and independently in their homes.

We are looking for an Experienced Caregiver who has availability on weekdays AND weekends. Experienced Caregiver shifts can be any length of time between 1 hour to 12 hours- day OR night! We coordinate with your availability and our clients' needs to build your perfect schedule! Our goal is to schedule you for a MINIMUM of 20 hours/week, which means you can pick up AS MANY clients as you'd like!!! Our clients reside in Waco and surrounding areas (Woodway, Hewitt, China Spring, West, Clifton, Valley Mills, Gatesville, Hillsboro, and MORE) therefore, an Experienced Caregiver MUST have reliable transportation of your own that you will drive to and from each client and be willing to travel outside of Waco. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply!

Experienced Caregiver job duties include but are not limited to:

• Hygiene and grooming assistance (bathing, dressing, incontinence care, etc.)
• Medication reminders
• Monitoring/safety supervision
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Laundry, errands and shopping
• Ambulation/mobility assistance, including lifting 50lbs and above
• Supportive companionship
• Respond quickly in case of an emergency
• Transportation to and from appointments

Experienced Caregiver Requirements:

• A great attitude, helpful and ready for anything
• Ability to take direction, follow rules and be proactive
• Good time management skills
• High integrity and strong ethics
• MUST have over 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience with the elderly
• MUST be able to work weekends
• Be over 18 years old
