Job summary

Visiting Angels in Waco is hiring a Weekend Caregiver to provide non-medical in-home care and companionship to adults in their homes. The role supports daily living activities, safety monitoring and personal care, with shifts that may range from 1 to 12 hours and a minimum 20 hours per week.

Reliable transportation to several service areas around Waco is required. Weekend Caregivers enjoy flexible scheduling, weekly pay with direct deposit, employee recognition, 24-hour support, and benefits

Qualifications

• MUST have over 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience with the elderly
• MUST be able to work weekends
• Be over 18 years old
• Successful completion of a Criminal History check
• Professional references
• Reliable transportation of your own that you will be driving
• Valid Driver’s License/clean driving record/proof of insurance

Responsibilities

• Hygiene and grooming assistance (bathing, dressing, incontinence care, etc.)
• Medication reminders
• Monitoring/safety supervision
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Laundry, errands and shopping
• Ambulation/mobility assistance, including lifting 50lbs and above
• Supportive companionship
• Respond quickly in case of an emergency
• Transportation to and from appointments

Weekend Caregiver

Visiting Angels Waco is a leading non-medical, private duty home care agency providing companionship, safety supervision and personal care to help adults continue to live safely with dignity and independently in their homes.

We are looking for a Weekend Caregiver who has availability on weekdays AND weekends. Weekend Caregiver shifts can be any length of time between 1 hour to 12 hours- day OR night! We coordinate with your availability and our clients' needs to build your perfect schedule! Our goal is to schedule you for a MINIMUM of 20 hours/week, which means you can pick up AS MANY clients as you'd like!!! Our clients reside in Waco and surrounding areas (Woodway, Hewitt, China Spring, West, Clifton, Valley Mills, Gatesville, Hillsboro, and MORE) therefore, a Weekend Caregiver MUST have reliable transportation of your own that you will drive to and from each client and be willing to travel outside of Waco. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply!
