Job summary

Visiting Angels Temple is seeking a caring Caregiver to join our team. Availability on weekdays and weekends is required, with shifts from 1 to 12 hours, day or night. We schedule a minimum of 20 hours per week and allow you to pick up additional clients as needed.

Please have reliable transportation to travel to clients in Temple and surrounding areas. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and a Criminal History check is required.

Qualifications

• Must have over 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience with the elderly.
• MUST be able to work weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation and drive to/from clients.

Responsibilities

• Hygiene and grooming assistance (bathing, dressing, incontinence care, etc.).
• Medication reminders.
• Monitoring/safety supervision.
• Meal preparation.
• Light housekeeping.
• Laundry, errands and shopping.
• Ambulation/mobility assistance, including lifting 50lbs and above.
• Supportive companionship.
• Respond quickly in case of an emergency.
• Transportation to and from appointments.

Visiting Angels Temple is a leading non-medical, private duty home care agency providing companionship, safety supervision and personal care to help adults continue to live safely with dignity and independently in their homes.

We are looking for a Caregiver who has availability on weekdays AND weekends. Caregiver shifts can be any length of time between 1 hour to 12 hours- day OR night! We coordinate with your availability and our clients' needs to build your perfect schedule! Our goal is to schedule you for a MINIMUM of 20 hours/week, which means you can pick up AS MANY clients as you'd like!!! Our clients reside in Temple and surrounding areas (Copperas Cove, Killeen, Lampasas, Belton, Cameron, Rockdale, and MORE) therefore, a Caregiver MUST have reliable transportation of your own that you will drive to and from each client and be willing to travel outside of Temple. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply!
