Job summary

Visiting Angels Waco is seeking a Weekend Caregiver to provide companionship and personal care to clients in the Waco area. You’ll work flexible shifts, from 1 to 12 hours, and build a schedule that guarantees a minimum of 20 hours per week by coordinating with clients.

Qualifications

• Over 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience with the elderly.
• Willing to work weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Valid Driver’s License and proof of insurance.
• Criminal history check and professional references.
• Be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Hygiene and grooming assistance (bathing, dressing, incontinence care).
• Medication reminders and monitoring.
• Monitoring and safety supervision of clients.
• Meal preparation and assistance with feeding if needed.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Errands and shopping as required.
• Ambulation/mobility support, assisting transfers.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Transport to and from appointments; respond to emergencies quickly.

Weekend Caregiver

Visiting Angels Waco is a leading non-medical, private duty home care agency providing companionship, safety supervision and personal care to help adults continue to live safely with dignity and independently in their homes.

We are looking for a Weekend Caregiver who has availability on weekdays AND weekends. Weekend Caregiver shifts can be any length of time between 1 hour to 12 hours- day OR night! We coordinate with your availability and our clients' needs to build your perfect schedule! Our goal is to schedule you for a MINIMUM of 20 hours/week, which means you can pick up AS MANY clients as you'd like!!! Our clients reside in Waco and surrounding areas (Woodway, Hewitt, China Spring, West, Clifton, Valley Mills, Gatesville, Hillsboro, and MORE) therefore, a Weekend Caregiver MUST have reliable transportation of your own that you will drive to and from each client and be willing to travel outside of Waco. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply!

Weekend Caregiver job duties include but are not limited to:

• Hygiene and grooming assistance (bathing, dressing, incontinence care, etc.)
• Medication reminders

• Ambulation/mobility assistance, including lifting 50lbs and above
• Supportive companionship

Weekend Caregiver Requirements:

• A great attitude, helpful and ready for anything
• Ability to take direction, follow rules and be proactive
• Good time management skills
• High integrity and strong ethics
• MUST have over 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience with the elderly
• MUST be able to work weekends
• Be over 18 years old
• Successful completion of a Criminal History check

• Reliable transportation of your own that you will be driving
