Job summary

Assisting Hands of Chicago North is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our team in Chicago, IL. You will provide in-home support to seniors and disabled clients, focusing on safety, comfort, and dignity.

Key duties include personal care, mobility assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship and health monitoring. We offer flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and ongoing training to help you grow in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of professional caregiving or CNA experience.
• Ability to assist with ADLs and personal care.
• Strong communication and follow care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene support.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and errands to maintain a safe home environment.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Monitor and report changes in client health to supervisors.
• Assist with medication reminders per care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene support
• Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and errands to maintain a safe home environment
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
• Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, or condition to supervisors
• Assist with medication reminders and follow individualized care plans

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of professional caregiving, home health aide, or CNA experience
• Genuine compassion, patience, and reliability when working with elderly or disabled clients
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed care plans
• Valid ID and ability to pass a background check
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute to client homes in the Chicago North area
