Job summary

Grand Teton Lodge Company is hiring for a winter seasonal maintenance role in Jackson, WY. You will perform electrical, plumbing and general building upkeep, handle tools, and assist with inventory while following safety policies.

Typical shifts run 8:00 am–5:00 pm with on-call potential during peak season. Minimum HS diploma, 1–2 years maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license are required. housing may be available for eligible positions.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1–2 years of maintenance work experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and successful MVR check required.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Ownership of basic hand tools required.
  • Experience in electrical, plumbing or carpentry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor electrical, plumbing and general building maintenance as assigned.
  • Maintain inventory of materials, equipment and tools for routine tasks.
  • Participate in training, follow policies and uphold company values.
  • Ensure all work is done safely and in a proper environment.
  • Maintenance staff may be reassigned to other tasks during crises.
  • Possibility of night shifts as needed.
  • Clean work site upon task completion.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

You are expected to adhere to the company’s mission, vision and value statements. Be knowledgeable of the company’s management systems, policies and initiatives for Hospitality, Environmental, and Health and Safety. You have specific responsibilities within these areas and are expected to understand them. With little supervision diagnose and repair most electrical and plumbing malfunction that would normally occur within a home or small business. Perform maintenance tasks that require minimum skills to correct deficiencies occurring to the interior and exterior of the building structure, furniture, fixtures and equipment. Normal working hours are between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. However, you may be assigned on call duty during operating season as a Engineering Manager on Duty (EMOD).

Job Specifications:
  • Starting Wage: $19/hr - $25.68/hr

Job responsibilities:
  • Perform minor electrical, plumbing and general building maintenance and tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Help maintain an adequate inventory of materials, equipment and tools required to perform routine tasks without delays.
  • All employees will actively participate in training, observe company policies and procedures, and promote all company values relative to protecting the natural environment.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in a safe manner in a safe environment.
  • Maintenance Department staff members will be assigned other technical work within the department when maintenance crises occur within the company or work in their particular technical field is temporarily or permanently reduced. This job summary is intended as a guide, it is not an all inclusive job description.
  • May be required to work different shift schedules including night shift.
  • Must clean up your job site and work area when finished with the assigned task
