Job summary

Swickard Auto Group, Mercedes-Benz of Anchorage, is hiring a skilled flat-rate technician to diagnose and repair luxury Mercedes-Benz and Sprinter vehicles. You will work from Anchorage, with MBZ training provided and a path to advance within a growing dealer group.

Requirements include 2+ years at a franchised dealership, Mercedes-Benz or European background preferred, XENTRY/DAS experience preferred, ASE a plus, and a valid driver's license. A robust relocation/sign-on package is available.

• 2+ years of flat-rate technician experience at a franchised dealership.
• Mercedes-Benz, European, luxury brand, Sprinter, or strong domestic background preferred; MBZ training provided.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Mercedes-Benz and Sprinter vehicles across a full range of systems.
• Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans.
• Execute repairs to MBZ factory specifications with speed and accuracy.
• Document diagnostic findings and completed work on repair orders.
• Stay current on MBZ service bulletins, software updates, and procedures.
• Perform test drives to validate conclusions and ensure quality.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Diagnose and repair Mercedes-Benz and Sprinter vehicles across a full range of systems -- engine, transmission, brakes, advanced electrical, suspension, HVAC, and beyond -- using XENTRY/DAS and OEM diagnostic procedures
• Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans -- communicating findings clearly to service advisors to support guest authorization
• Execute repairs to Mercedes-Benz factory specifications with speed, accuracy, and no shortcuts
• Document all diagnostic findings and completed work accurately on repair orders
• Stay current on MBZ technical service bulletins, software updates, and manufacturer repair procedures
• Perform test drives to validate diagnostic conclusions and confirm repair quality before vehicle return

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2+ years of flat-rate technician experience at a franchised dealership -- required
• Mercedes-Benz, European, luxury brand, Sprinter, or strong domestic technician background -- Mercedes-Benz or European experience preferred and reflected in rate; any brand with strong diagnostic fundamentals welcome
• XENTRY/DAS diagnostic platform experience preferred -- or equivalent diagnostic tool proficiency; paid MBZ training providedStrong diagnostic foundation with a low comeback rate and a quality standard that holds under volume
• ASE certifications a strong plus -- MBZ factory certifications highly valued and reflected in rate from day one
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
