Mercedes-Benz of Palo Alto is seeking an experienced flat-rate technician with Mercedes-Benz or European luxury brand experience in the Bay Area. You will diagnose, repair, and document work across engine, electrical, suspension, and ADAS systems using XENTRY, STAR, and OEM procedures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of dealership technician experience with Mercedes-Benz or European luxury brands preferred.
• Strong diagnostic foundation for multi-system issues and precise repairs.
• Experience with MBZ or European platform brands; MBZ certification investment.
• XENTRY or STAR platform experience preferred; other European tools acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Mercedes-Benz vehicles across systems using OEM procedures.
• Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans for guest authorization.
• Execute repairs to MBZ factory specs with speed, accuracy, and no shortcuts.
• Document all work performed, findings, and parts used with precision.
• Stay current on service bulletins, software updates, and evolving procedures.
• Conduct test drives to validate conclusions before vehicle return.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
• Contribute to a culture of diagnostic excellence and quality craftsmanship.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Diagnose and repair Mercedes-Benz vehicles across a full range of systems -- engine, transmission, brakes, advanced electrical, suspension, HVAC, ADAS, and beyond -- using XENTRY, STAR, and OEM diagnostic procedures
• Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans -- communicating findings clearly to service advisors to support guest authorization
• Execute repairs to Mercedes-Benz factory specifications with speed, accuracy, and zero shortcuts
• Complete repair orders accurately -- documenting all work performed, diagnostic findings, and parts used with precision
• Stay current on Mercedes-Benz technical service bulletins, software updates, and evolving repair procedures
• Perform test drives to validate diagnostic conclusions and confirm repair quality before vehicle return
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation that reflects the standard of the Mercedes-Benz brand
• Contribute to a shop culture where diagnostic excellence, quality craftsmanship, and professionalism are the baseline

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2+ years of dealership technician experience -- Mercedes-Benz or European luxury brand experience strongly preferred
• Strong diagnostic foundation -- comfortable working through complex, multi-system problems methodically and accurately
• Mercedes-Benz or European platform experience: BMW, Audi, Porsche, Volvo, or Land Rover backgrounds welcome -- your diagnostic skills transfer and we'll invest in your MBZ certification
• XENTRY or STAR diagnostic platform experience preferred -- or equivalent European diagnostic tool proficiency
• ASE certifications a strong plus -- Mercedes-Benz factory certifications highly valued
• Low comeback rate and a personal quality standard that doesn't require managing
• Physically capable of performing the demands of the role throughout the shift
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
