Swickard Auto Group is seeking an experienced flat-rate technician for Mercedes-Benz of Anchorage in Alaska. You will diagnose and repair MBZ vehicles, perform multi-point inspections, and communicate findings clearly to service advisors to support guest authorization.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of flat-rate technician experience at a franchised dealership.
• Mercedes-Benz or European brand experience preferred; other backgrounds welcome.
• XENTRY/DAS or equivalent diagnostic tool proficiency.
• ASE certifications a strong plus; MBZ factory certifications valued.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Mercedes-Benz vehicles across systems using XENTRY/DAS and OEM procedures.
• Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans with service advisors.
• Execute repairs to MBZ factory specifications with speed, accuracy, and no shortcuts.
• Complete repair orders accurately and document all work and parts used.
• Stay current on MBZ technical service bulletins, software updates, and procedures.
• Perform test drives to validate conclusions and confirm repair quality.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Diagnose and repair Mercedes-Benz vehicles across a full range of systems -- engine, transmission, brakes, advanced electrical, suspension, HVAC, and beyond -- using XENTRY/DAS and OEM diagnostic procedures
• Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans -- communicating findings clearly to service advisors to support guest authorization
• Execute repairs to Mercedes-Benz factory specifications with speed, accuracy, and zero shortcuts
• Complete repair orders accurately -- documenting all work performed and parts used with precision
• Stay current on MBZ technical service bulletins, software updates, and manufacturer repair procedures
• Perform test drives to validate diagnostic conclusions and confirm repair quality before vehicle return

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2+ years of flat-rate technician experience at a franchised dealership -- required
• Mercedes-Benz or European brand experience preferred -- BMW, Audi, Volvo, or similar backgrounds a strong advantage; any brand background with strong diagnostic fundamentals welcome
• XENTRY/DAS diagnostic platform experience preferred -- or equivalent European diagnostic tool proficiency
• Strong diagnostic foundation with a low comeback rate and a quality standard that doesn't waver under volume
• ASE certifications a strong plus -- MBZ factory certifications highly valued and reflected in rate
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
