Newton Nissan South is seeking an experienced automotive technician to join our service team in Shelbyville, TN. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles to our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Performs work on repair orders per dealership standards.
• Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C).
• Communicates with Service Advisor about estimates and timelines.
• Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintains safety, cleanliness, and a positive attitude.

Newton Motor Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced automotive technician to join our team at the Newton Nissan South dealership. The ideal candidate will be proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning
• Communicates directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed including providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Adheres to dealership policies and procedures, including safety guidelines, warranty standards, and Service Department protocols
• Maintains a great attitude
• Keep your area and the customer's cars clean

Requirements:

• High school diploma
• At least 3 years of experience as an automotive service technician preferred
• ASE certification preferred
• Strong teamwork skillsKnowledge in all aspects of automotive troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance
• Proficiency in operating diagnostic tools and equipment
• Willing to further their knowledge through dealer and manufacturer training programs. (no cost to employee)
• Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications
• Valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and clean driving record
