Axcex Media LLC seeks an experienced Service Technician - Fire Alarm & Security Systems based in and around the Greater Lynchburg, VA area.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our team in Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and upgrading fire alarm, security, and life safety systems. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a customer-focused attitude.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform routine inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs of fire alarm, security and life safety systems to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
2. Competence with the use of required tools and test equipment.
3. Diagnose system malfunctions and execute necessary repairs efficiently and effectively.
4. Programming and software knowledge with a variety of life safety systems.
5. Collaborate with clients to provide clear explanations of system functionality, required repairs, and recommended upgrades.
6. Maintain accurate documentation of service reports, inspections, and repairs using company systems.
7. Arrive punctually at assigned work locations and ensure the timely completion of scheduled projects.
8. Stay up to date with industry advancements, codes, and standards to ensure the highest quality of service.
9. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while working on client sites.
10. Provide exceptional customer service, fostering long-term client relationships and satisfaction.

BASIC POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Industry experience is required.
2. NICET Level I (minimum) or state-specific certification preferred.
3. Experience with HILTI or STI systems is preferred.
4. The ability to be on call and to travel 100%, including day-to-day job sites and extended trips outside the territory to meet client demand and deadlines required.
5. Residency in Virginia is required.
6. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with a clean record for the past three years required.
7. Comfortable with heights and stable on a ladder required.
8. Ability to carry 75 lbs. required.
9. Ability to pass a background check and routine drug tests required.
10. Commitment to a 100% tobacco, vape, and drug-free work environment required.
