Gensler's Brand Experience Design Studio in New York seeks an experienced Experience Designer who can move fluidly across 2D and 3D, digital and physical scales—from intimate moments to city-scale frameworks. You will design experiences that weave story, space, interaction, and technology, and develop ideas through research, prototyping, and iteration.

You are a strategic thinker, hands‑on maker, and strong communicator who thrives in collaborative environments, delivering compelling experiences

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of professional experience in experience design, exhibition design, environmental design, interaction design, architecture, industrial design, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating work across experiences, environments, and/or interactive systems.
• Excellent visual communication skills (sketching, diagrams, modeling, storytelling).
• Experience with common design and prototyping tools.
• Clear communicator who can explain ideas to team members and clients alike.

Responsibilities

• Design experiences that integrate story, space, interaction, and technology
• Develop ideas through research, prototyping, visualization, and iteration
• Contribute to both strategic thinking and hands‑on making, from early ideas through execution
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teammates including designers, architects, technologists, fabricators, and clients
• Translate complex ideas into clear, compelling experiences and design artifacts
• Take ownership of your work, manage priorities, and push projects forward with confidence and curiosity
