Job summary

Journey is seeking an Experience Design Strategist (Architectural) in New York to collaborate with leadership and multi-disciplinary teams across interior and architectural design. The role focuses on co-authoring materials to explore opportunities for clients, conducting research, and shaping strategic direction for brands and spaces.

The position requires 3+ years post-graduate experience, strong presentation and copywriting skills, and proficiency with design tools.

Qualifications

• B.Arch or B.A. Interior Design required.
• 3+ years of post-graduate experience in a similar role.
• Stellar presentation and copywriting skills.
• Strong documentation skills using Google Slides, Adobe InDesign, and MS PowerPoint.
• Experience with 3D modelling software and spatial design knowledge.
• Experience with collaborative work platforms like Miro or Mural.
• Experience working independently and with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience self-managing deadlines and tasks.
• Experience working with established brands in retail, hospitality, entertainment, education, or healthcare is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with design team and external clients to translate needs into design solutions.
• Present and communicate design concepts effectively to clients.
• Conduct research to gather insights and inspiration for design projects.
• Provide feedback on details in every aspect of design to ensure optimal user experience.
• Work with the design team to refine and improve design elements to create memorable experiences.
• Stay updated on market trends, consumer behavior, and emerging technologies relevant to experience design.
