Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Richmond seeks an energetic leader to support daily branch operations and elevate member experiences as the Experience Delivery Director at the Downtown YMCA. This role oversees key program areas, leads service teams, and fosters a welcoming environment for all.

The position often works mornings, evenings, and weekends with a flexible schedule, and you will hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff while ensuring safety, cleanliness, and high-quality delivery across

Qualifications

• Three years of leadership experience is essential.
• High school diploma required; college coursework or degree preferred.
• Excellent communication and computer skills essential.
• Willing to obtain wellness, aquatics, and other certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Y in the community by developing and maintaining positive relationships with members, staff, and local stakeholders.
• Promote access, inclusion, and engagement by creating a welcoming environment for diverse populations.
• Oversee branch operations during assigned shifts, ensuring seamless team and member experiences and optimizing operational efficiencies.
• Support program areas such as aquatics, membership, wellness, family programs, and sports, ensuring high-quality delivery and member satisfaction.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff within assigned departments, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Ensure branch cleanliness and maintenance standards to promote a safe and inviting facility.
• Support membership and program initiatives including member retention, registration, and development efforts.
• Serve as the Executive Director during their absence and collaborate across departments and YX Teams as needed.
