Job summary

Blue Origin Operations seeks a detail‑oriented Material/Production Controller to own kitting and inventory for complex machine builds and retrofits. You will manage procurement workflows, coordinate with engineers and technicians, and ensure precise material tracking across the lifecycle of fielded fleets.

Responsibilities include shortage analysis, cycle counting, and BOM reconciliation, with a focus on reducing shortages and improving material flow in a high‑precision manufacturing

Qualifications

• Experience reading BOMs and part numbers with confidence.
• Hands-on ERP/MRP usage for inventory transactions and requisitions.
• Proficiency in Excel for tracking, reconciliation and reporting.
• Attention to detail to prevent material miscounts and errors.

Responsibilities

• Own kitting for machine build, maintenance, and retrofit work; verify kits against work orders.
• Conduct kit shortage analysis ahead of work-order release and drive resolution.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventory.
• Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming material; manage returns and disposition.
• Manage spare parts inventory levels, reorder points, and safety stock.
• Generate and manage purchase requisitions; track through PO placement to receipt.
• Expedite critical material and communicate revised dates to engineers/technicians.
• Interface with buyers, planners, suppliers, and receiving to resolve issues.
• Maintain BOMs against engineering releases and flag material impacts.
• Track material by machine serial numbers and configurations.
