The Expeditor II is responsible for driving and tracking all pre‑delivery document submittals in accordance with the contract and project schedule. Drive improvement in suppliers on‑time delivery performance by prioritizing outstanding supplier documents. This includes expediting new, missing or returned documents from the supplier and/or engineering. Conduct weekly analysis on supplier documentation performance to improve on poorly performing suppliers. Participate in weekly engineering calls to provide updates and status of document submittals. Participate in weekly project expediting meetings to ensure submittals are received for engineer review and returned to vendor per schedule. This role requires an individual with good communication and problem‑solving skills and must use your own initiative to source and close document submittal issues. Identify and elevate ongoing supplier documentation issues to the project expeditor and/or the expediting manager. The Expeditor II role emphasizes a proactive, systematic and standardized approach which aggressively pursues all available courses of action to detect and avert delays to the contractual delivery date stated within the contract. Provide detailed updates to all stakeholders on the status of supplier document submittals. Provide effective document expediting support and coordination for the engineering and construction teams. Dependent upon project requirements, other tools or systems may be used to support expediting efforts. Additional responsibilities include agenda preparation, publishing meeting minutes and miscellaneous expediting functions as required to support the project.
Employee will work in multiple environments including an office, warehouse and in a trailer or building on sites. On work sites noise levels will be moderate to high. Job sites will contain light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling and talking, bells, whistles and alarms.
