Job summary

Schuff Steel is seeking a Material Expeditor to coordinate the unloading, receiving, and movement of steel materials through the production floor, utilizing overhead cranes and forklifts as needed.

This role requires reading and interpreting safety and operating procedures, with a GED or high school diploma and about a year of related experience. Safety PPE rules must be followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 12 months of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates locations of materials to be unloaded.
• Check incoming steel per receiving procedures for accuracy.
• Directs and assists others in material control and handling.
• Move materials and assign locations using overhead cranes and/or forklifts.
• Maintain organized work area and follow safety PPE requirements.
