Job summary

Schuff Steel is seeking a Material Expeditor to support steel fabrication through receiving, expediting, and coordinating material from receiving to cutting. The role requires crane, rigging, and forklift proficiency to move steel efficiently and safely on site, ensuring production needs are met.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and at least 12 months of related work experience, with a strong focus on safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience operating cranes, rigging, and forklifts to move steel safely.
• Must have high school diploma or GED and at least 12 months of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate locations of materials to be unloaded.
• Check incoming steel against receiving procedures for accuracy.
• Direct and assist other employees in material control and handling.
• Move materials and assign locations using overhead cranes and/or forklifts.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Keep the work area organized and clean.
• Adhere to safety rules and PPE requirements.
