Schuff Steel is seeking a Material Expeditor to support steel fabrication through receiving, expediting, and coordinating material from receiving to cutting. The role requires crane, rigging, and forklift proficiency to move steel efficiently and safely on site, ensuring production needs are met.
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and at least 12 months of related work experience, with a strong focus on safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Working for a world-class leader in building structures and bridges, a Schuff Steel Material Expeditor brings his/her expertise and knowledge in steel fabrication to build some of the most complex and high-profile projects in the commercial building, bridge and industrial sectors. The Expeditor works with materials to receive, expedite and coordinate material from receiving stage to the cutting stage. Must have experience with crane, rigging and forklifts to manage and move steel material as needed. Critical to the production process this position Directs and assists employees to perform such duties ensuring production needs are met. The expeditor utilizes a high degree of proficiency while utilizing full skills of the trade. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily.
