Job summary

Blount Fine Foods Corp. is seeking an Expeditor to collaborate with production teams and ensure accurate processing of ingredients during the shift.

The role involves coordinating ingredients, maintaining recipe queues, and supporting leadership with timely communication and efficiency. Responsibilities include documenting ingredients, transporting prep items, and verifying allergen guidelines while maintaining inventory integrity and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
  • Basic Mathematical Skills - ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Written and verbal communication skills. English required.
  • Basic problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and verify ingredients to ensure accurate processing of divisional manufacturing ingredients.
  • Ensure each line has appropriate recipes in queue and safely transport ingredients from prep.
  • Communicate with production leadership and stay up to date with production schedule productivity.
  • Refer to supervisor for any wrong or missing ingredients or prep delays.
  • Verify HACCP, GMP, and Allergen guidelines are followed and safeguard ingredient integrity.
  • Operate pallet jacks as required (Plant Certification).
  • Organize and maintain staging areas for recipe grouping and accessibility.
  • Prep ingredients when needed and participate in training as available.
  • Train new staff within the department if needed.
  • Perform other duties with similar skill and conditions.

The pay range for this job is $17.50 to $17.94 per hour.

Summary:

The Expeditor will work independently and cooperatively to meet and / or exceed the expectations of the customer, company and department, through established and maintained procedures. Responsible for coordinating and verification of ingredients to ensure accurate processing of divisional manufacturing ingredients during their designated shift. May be required prep or perform any additional responsibilities assigned by leadership.

Duties:
  • Responsible for accurate documentation of ingredients and lot numbers to ensure inventory accuracy and allocation of materials.
  • Responsible for ensuring each line has appropriate recipes in queue and safely transporting all ingredients from prep.
  • Communicate with production leadership and stay up to date with production schedule productivity.
  • Communicate with supervisor of any wrong or missing ingredients and/or prep delays.
  • Verify departmental HACCP, GMP, and Allergen guidelines are followed, and ensure integrity of all ingredients, minimizing/eliminating the possibility of foreign material being introduced throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Safely operated manual and/or electric pallet jacks. (Plant Certification).
  • Organize and maintain staging areas so recipes are grouped together and easy to find.
  • Responsible for prepping ingredients if needed.
  • Attend Training that is made available in relation to job description
  • Ability to train new staff within the department if needed
  • Other responsibilities w/ similar skill and work conditions as assigned.
Experience:
  • Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Basic Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Written and verbal communication skills. English required.
  • Basic problem-solving skills
