Job summary

Livermoreschools is seeking an Expanded Learning Assistant to develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities aligned with the ELO-P and district goals. You will supervise students, coordinate with staff, and help maintain a safe, supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities include lesson planning, classroom organization, snack preparation in line with USDA guidelines, and clear communication with parents and school personnel.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months experience in a licensed or exempt preschool facility or school-age program.
• High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by twelve (12) Early Childhood Education (ECE) core units from an accredited college.
• Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate within designated probationary period.
• Food Manager Certification must obtain within three (3) months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and facilitates lessons and activities aligned with ELO-P and district goals.
• Supervises students during all programming activities.
• Maintains a safe and positive learning environment and monitors student behavior.
• Communicates with school staff, parents, and visitors as assigned.
• Prepares newsletters, lesson plans, supply lists, and calendars to document and convey information.
• Prepares and serves daily snacks meeting nutritional guidelines.
