Aspen Dental in Michigan is hiring an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant on a full-time basis. You will support doctors, manage operatory setup, sterilization, radiographs, and patient education to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role requires a current dental assistant license and CPR/BLS, with 2+ years' chairside experience recommended. You will train others, ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance, and assist with supplies and patient care.

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant License or state registration
• Radiology (x-ray) certification as required by state
• CPR or BLS certification current
• 2+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant
• Proficiency in chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry
• Knowledge of sterilization and infection control practices

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors during various treatment procedures
• Support productive patient flow and chairside workflow
• Breakdown operatory rooms and sterilize instruments
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and Aspen safety requirements
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and provide post-procedure care instructions
• Assist with patient charting and education on oral hygiene strategies
• Order and maintain supplies within the practice budget
• Perform expanded functions as certified and required
