Job summary

Aspen Dental is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to support daily patient care and keep the practice running smoothly. You will assist with chairside duties, radiographs, sterilization, and maintaining patient flow under HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.

The role requires a current Dental Assistant license, state radiology certification, CPR/BLS, and at least two years of experience, with opportunities for training and growth in a supportive, flexible Part-time environment.

Qualifications

• Active state dental assistant license/registration.
• Radiology certification as required by state.
• Current CPR or BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Proficient at chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry.
• Demonstrate proper sterilization and infection control techniques.
• Maintain CE requirements as specified by state.
• State certification in expanded functions as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DA office team to maintain productive patient flow.
• Assist doctors during various treatment procedures.
• Breakdown operatory rooms for doctors/hygienists.
• Complete sterilization of equipment and operatory; ensure staff compliance.
• Follow maintenance schedules for waterlines, autoclave, and compressor.
• Prepare trays and operatory setups for procedures.
• Support charting for doctors.
• Train others on patient handoffs and patient flow.
