Aspen Dental in Gulf Breeze, FL is hiring an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to support doctors and the dental team. You will assist with patient flow, chairside procedures, and sterilization, while maintaining infection control and OSHA/HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant license, registration, and state-required certification.
• Radiology (x-ray) certification as required by state.
• Current CPR or BLS certificate.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Proficient at chairside assisting/four-handed dentistry.
• Demonstrate proper sterilization and infection control techniques.
• Maintain annual CE requirement as specified by state.
• State certification in expanded functions as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Assist office team to maintain productive patient flow.
• Assist doctors during treatment procedures.
• Breakdown operatory rooms for doctors and hygienists.
• Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatory.
• Follow maintenance schedules for waterlines, autoclave, and compressor daily/weekly/monthly.
• Tray and operatory set-up for procedures.
• Support patient charting for doctors.
• Train others to execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow.
• Follow OSHA and HIPAA guidelines and Aspen safety requirements.
• Take dental radiographs and educate patients on oral hygiene.
