Job summary

GENTLE DENTIST in Indianapolis is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support clinicians with diagnostics, instrumentation, and patient care.

You will prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, assist with crowns, impressions, sealants, and provide compassionate communication to patients throughout treatment.

Required EFDA certification, radiology license, CPR/BLS, and at least 3 years EFDA experience.

Qualifications

• EFDA certification or equivalent required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Radiology license required.
• 3 years of EFDA experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Delivers clinically excellent dental care through education and quality treatment.
• Assists dentists and hygienists in quality diagnosis through X-rays, verbal communication, and other dental tests as directed.
• Prepares treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols; sterilizes and delivers instruments; positions instruments; suctioning; passing instruments.
• Places and finishes permanent restorations, impressions, crowns and bridges, occlusion adjustments, sealants, and dentures.
