Job summary

Gentle Dentist in Greensburg, IN is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our caring team. This full-time role offers up to $29 per hour, depending on experience, with a 33-hour workweek and sign-on bonus opportunity.

You will support dentists and hygienists, prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist with crowns and restorations. We value teamwork, patient care, and ongoing professional growth through training and education opportunities.

Qualifications

• EFDA certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Delivers clinically excellent dental care through education and quality treatment. Assists dentists and hygienists in quality diagnosis through X-rays, verbal communication, and other dental tests as directed.
• Prepares treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols. Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area; positioning instruments for the dentist’s access; suctioning; and passing instruments.
• Places and finishes permanent restorations, completes preliminary Impressions, makes and polishes temporary crowns, removal temporary crowns, and fitting of permanent crowns and bridges, adjusting occlusions and interproximal areas, application of sealants, and adjusting partials and dentures.
