Gentle Dentist in Greensburg, Indiana is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team. This full-time role offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus and a salary up to $29/hour based on experience with 33 weekly hours.

Qualifications

• Certification as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) or equivalent.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Delivers clinically excellent dental care and assists dentists and hygienists in quality diagnosis through X-rays, verbal communication, and other dental tests as directed.
• Prepares treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols; sterilizes and delivers instruments; positions instruments for the dentist's access; suctioning; and passing instruments.
• Places and finishes permanent restorations, completes preliminary impressions, makes and polishes temporary crowns, removal temporary crowns, and fitting of permanent crowns and bridges, adjusting occlusions and interproximal areas, application of sealants, and adjusting partials and dentures.
