Job summary

The Smilist is seeking a reliable Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our West Chester, PA practice. You will support doctors during procedures, prepare treatment areas, and maintain a welcoming, sterile environment to ensure high-quality care for every patient.

Ideal candidates have EFDA, an active PA x-ray license, and at least 1 year of dental assisting experience, with Dentrix knowledge a plus. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential in our patient-first clinic.

Qualifications

• 1+ year proven experience as Dental Assistant
• EFDA certification
• Active PA x-ray license
• Knowledge of dental instruments and procedures
• Dentrix experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors during procedures and prepare treatment areas
• Maintain sterile, clean, and cheerful environment; prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and manage supply levels in each operatory
• Other duties as assigned by management

We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• EFDA required
• Must have an active PA x-ray license
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Schedule: Full Time - Monday through Thursday - no weekends!
• Salary Range: $25.00-$30.00/hour
• Location: West Chester, PA
