RUSCH DENTAL GROUP LLC is seeking a qualified Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our Indianapolis-area practice. You will assist dentists during exams, perform restorations, and help maintain a patient-centered environment where teamwork and quality care are valued.

Qualifications

• Certification of EFDA completion.
• Active Radiography license in IN.
• Two years of EFDA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and make them comfortable.
• Explain the dental care plan and answer questions.
• Record medical/dental history and vital signs.
• Take necessary dental radiographs.
• Prepare operatories and sterilize instruments.
• Assist dentist during procedures and exams.
• Follow health, safety, and office policies.
• Turn over rooms and maintain efficiency.

Monday-Thursday patient hours 7:30a to 4:30p with a morning huddle at 7:15 each day and a lunch hour from 12:30 p-1:30p

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and caring Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team! As a EFDA, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our patients feel like family. You will provide assistance to the dentist during exams and complete restorations (fillings, crowns, etc.). The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience. Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable
• Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have
• Take vital signs and accurately record medical/dental history
• Capture any x-rays necessary
• Prepares operatories for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols
• Assist dentist during procedures and exams
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
• Turn over rooms and sterilize instruments in an efficient manner

Qualifications

• Certification of completion of EFDA Course
• Active Radiography license in the state of IN (required)
• Previous experience as an EFDA
• Strong computer and data entry skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to provide high-quality patient care
• Additional certification or training is an asset (coronal polishing, fluoride application, etc.)
