Georgetown North Dental Care in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is seeking a skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our patient‑centered team.

As part of a collaborative practice, you will assist the dentist during diverse procedures, perform expanded functions (restorations, coronal polishing, sealants), prepare rooms, sterilize instruments, and capture high‑quality radiographs while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• EFDA certification is required or will train the right candidate.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, punctual and strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Perform expanded functions including placing/finishing restorations, coronal polishing, and sealant placement.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and organize clinical equipment for patient visits.
• Provide attentive chairside assistance and proactive support to the clinical team.
• Expose and process high-quality digital dental radiographs.
• Maintain accurate patient records, clinical charts, and treatment documentation.
• Ensure strict compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
