Job summary

Weber State University in Ogden, Utah seeks an Exhibitions Manager to oversee daily operations of the Mary Elizabeth Dee Shaw Gallery and Dumke Arts Plaza. You will supervise student workers, coordinate with facilities and contractors, and assist with contracts and records.

This 11-month, exempt, 40-hour/week role requires lifting 35 pounds and Collaboration with DOVAD faculty. The position supports BFA exhibitions and visiting artists, with a responsibilities including setup, installation, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in the visual arts or related field.
• Two years' art handling or gallery/museum experience, or related work.
• Current driver's license.
• Experience working with spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, maintenance and removal of exhibitions.
• Handle and ship artworks and manage public events.
• Hire and supervise a team of 6-8 hourly student employees.
• Coordinate with Facilities Management and contractors.
• Assist with contracts, financials, and record-keeping.
• Support BFA capstone exhibitions and visiting artist programming.
