Job summary

Govig & Associates seeks a Vice President to join its executive team within a premier residential construction organization in Phoenix. The role focuses on advancing field leadership and coordinating across divisions to drive strategic initiatives, grow the business, and plan for long-term succession.

The incumbent will work alongside existing senior leaders, progressively assuming broader responsibility, and guiding projects, teams, and stakeholder relationships while helping the company evolve

Qualifications

• Significant construction operations and leadership experience.
• Strong field knowledge and credibility with construction teams.
• Experience managing multiple teams, departments, divisions, or operational functions.
• Understanding of blueprints, specifications, scopes, estimating, scheduling, manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Financial and business acumen with the ability to understand operational reports and financial statements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage both internal and external relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across multiple operational divisions and functions.
• Develop relationships with field teams, department heads, customers, and industry partners.
• Work with senior leadership on operational performance, strategic decisions, and long-term planning.
• Maintain an active field presence and ensure quality, productivity, and execution standards.
• Review reports and identify opportunities to improve performance.
• Understand estimating, manpower, materials, equipment, scheduling, and project execution.
• Participate in hiring, developing, and mentoring department and division leaders.
• Lead regular meetings with operational leadership to maintain accountability and goals.
• Strengthen customer relationships and develop new market relationships.
• Identify and implement process improvements as the organization evolves.
