Job summary

VyStar Credit Union in Jacksonville seeks a Vice President of Commercial Sales to execute the small business and commercial banking sales strategy and lead a team of Business Bankers and Commercial Bankers. You will drive growth, manage credit and deposit products, and optimize member experiences across VyStar’s field of membership.

The role requires extensive banking/credit union and sales leadership experience, with focus on commercial lending, credit structuring, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Ten years of banking/credit union experience in a goal-oriented environment.
• Five years of business/commercial banking experience in lending and relationship management.
• Five years of sales management within the financial industry.
• Advanced knowledge of tax returns and financial statements.
• Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight, coaching, development, and strategic guidance to a geographically dispersed sales team that includes managers.
• Drive new business and commercial loan production and origination through sales teams across the field of membership.
• Collaborate with retail leadership to ensure branch network engagement and integrated member experience.
• Develop and coach sales management principles to acquire and retain small business and commercial relationships.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and risk controls; manage performance and training.
