Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking an Underwriting Specialist or Executive Underwriter for Commercial Surety in the Southeast Region. You will analyze and underwrite a book of new and renewal business within delegated authority, partnering with brokers to write profitable coverage.

The role offers flexibility to be filled at the Underwriting Specialist or Executive Underwriter level based on experience, with a focus on risk assessment, relationship building, and timely decision-making.

Qualifications

• Must have underwriting or market-facing experience.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and underwrite new and renewal commercial surety business.
• Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities.
• Negotiate terms and conditions and close deals.
• Develop broker and client networks.
• Lead complex, long-term projects and implement new systems or programs.
